Ask on WhatsAppHow to use the grade calculator
- Choose your grading system and the grade you're aiming for.
- Add each assessment in your module with its weight. You'll find the weights in your module handbook.
- Enter the marks you already have. Leave the mark empty for work you haven't done yet.
The calculator shows your current average and the average mark you need on the rest of the module to reach your target.
How is a weighted grade worked out?
Each mark is multiplied by its weight, the results are added up, and the total is divided by the sum of the weights. For example, 65% on an essay worth 30% and 58% on a presentation worth 20% gives a current average of (65 × 30 + 58 × 20) ÷ 50 = 62.2%.
